LeapFrog Driving (“LeapFrog”, “we”, “us”) operates an online platform that connects student drivers with independent DVSA-approved driving instructors (each an “Instructor”) and handles the payment and administrative side of booking a course of lessons.

LeapFrog is not a driving school. We do not employ Instructors and we do not teach lessons ourselves. Instructors on our platform are self-employed professionals who hold a valid DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) licence.

Course price: The price shown at checkout is the total price of your course. Your receipt shows how that total is split between the tuition fee (payable through us to your Instructor) and the LeapFrog admin fee. The DVSA driving test fee is not included — you pay this directly to the DVSA when you book your own test.

Deposit: A deposit (currently 40% of the course price, subject to a minimum) is required at booking to secure your place. The remaining balance becomes due when we match you with your Instructor. You may alternatively pay in full at booking and receive the advertised pay-in- full discount.

Matching: LeapFrog will attempt to match you with an available Instructor in your postcode area within 45 days of your booking. Your Instructor will contact you within 24 hours of being matched to arrange your first lesson.

Scheduling: Specific lesson dates and times are arranged between you and your Instructor directly. Lesson length is set by the Instructor within platform limits (currently 1–6 hours per block).

No match in 45 days, full deposit back. If we are unable to match you with a suitable Instructor within 45 days of your booking, you are entitled to a full refund of any amount paid. No retention, no admin fees withheld in this scenario.

Cancellation after matching: Once you have been matched to an Instructor, the tuition portion of any lessons not yet delivered is refundable. The LeapFrog admin fee is non-refundable once we have successfully matched you, because it covers the acquisition and matching service we have already delivered.

Individual lesson cancellations: Cancellation windows for an individual lesson after your course has started are agreed between you and your Instructor and are governed by your Instructor's own cancellation policy. LeapFrog is not a party to these arrangements.

Your Instructor is a self-employed professional who is separate from LeapFrog. Your contract for the lessons is between you and your Instructor. The Instructor is responsible for the teaching, the conduct of the lessons, and the roadworthy condition and insurance of the vehicle used for lessons.

Every Instructor on our platform holds a current DVSA ADI licence, which we verify at the time they join. Instructors remain responsible for maintaining their DVSA registration and any insurance or industry requirements that apply to their profession.

If you are unhappy with the Instructor you have been matched to, please contact us. Subject to availability we will attempt to re-match you to a different Instructor. Re-matching does not affect your 45-day match guarantee.

You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when making a booking. You must be at least 17 years old to book lessons yourself; younger students must have a booking made on their behalf by a parent or guardian.

You agree not to misuse the platform — including by attempting to book on behalf of another person without authority, submitting false information, or attempting to circumvent the booking process to contact Instructors outside the platform during the matching window.

LeapFrog is liable for its own services — booking, matching, payment handling, and administration. LeapFrog is not responsible for the teaching or conduct of the lessons themselves; that responsibility rests with your Instructor.

Our total liability for any loss arising from our booking service is limited to the total amount you have paid us for the course giving rise to the claim, except to the extent that liability cannot be limited under UK law (such as for personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud).

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. When we match you with an Instructor, we will share your contact details with that Instructor so they can contact you to arrange lessons. Your Instructor is a separate data controller for the personal data they hold about you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
